Semana 8 y 1/2: Hola Bebito!!! / Hi Bebito!!!

This week we've met Bebito…!

Its new kiwi doctor (Dr. Neil) borrowed the echography machine from the technician that usually manipulates it and, even when he didn’t understand the machine very much (and my husband was dying for trying to run the machine himself, with all those buttons), he managed to show us Bebito.

It is the smallest glowing being with an enormous head. In the echography it moved like a cockroach legs up, which was nice because it allowed us to see it at once. I was afraid that it was going to happen the same as in that famous scene from “Friends” where Rachel comes back with the picture of her echography to show her friends and she realizes that she no longer knows where the baby is. So I signalized for upcoming times whit a big green circle… you can’t miss it.

Bebito is very comfortable there because it has space enough to do whatever it wants… And I’ll might be doing something right because it is growing healthy and with no problems.

Semana 8: Los pantalones inaguantables / The unbearable pants

Español/English

La ropa me entra. ¡Obviamente! ¿Cómo no me va a entrar si Bebito solo mide unos pocos centímetros?

Clothes do fit. Obviously! How are they not supposed to fit if Bebito is only a few centimeters long? What I don’t understand is why I can’t take trousers any more.

Suddenly I’m there, so happy, and I feel an unstoppable need to undo my pants… What a shame. I remind myself of my uncle after family barbecues (I have in my mind that image of a succession of bellies full of food, warming up in the sun).

But it is a reality pants have become unbearable. I’ll have to live with it until I’ve grown so much belly as to justify my outburst of abdominal liberation or I’ll have to go on to maternity pants… or I’ll better buy some leggings that are not going to freak out anybody.
